Some Houston Art Exhibits You Must See

As the season gets chiller and it’s easier to be outside because there is no Houston heat it’s the perfect time to catch some of the coolest art exhibits Houston has to offer. Art can be a perfect way to detach yourself from the business of life and enjoy something that enriches your mind.

Chron.com made a list of just some of the few exhibits that you don’t want to miss!

“Time No Longer” at Buffalo Bayou Park is a multimedia experience created by Anri Sala, this experience is a tribute to Ronald McNair, one of the first African American astronauts. This 360 immersive experience is being shown until December 12, Thursdays shows are free.

Sesmique, a psychedelia playground on the west side of Houston. Artist have come together to create an immersive multimedia display using LED. You can even download an app to interact with the art itself! Its located at 2306 South Highway 6

Last is Smither Park, open every day for free until dusk “features huge, elaborate mosaics made from recycled and rescued materials from tiles to dishes, bottle caps to seashells”. If you go on Saturdays at 10 am you can watch artists working on their pieces. This is a perfect way to be outside and also enjoy art.
