Actor Matthew McConaughey about his participation in gubernatorial elections: “I will let you know soon”

Matthew McConaughey, a 52-year-old actor and “Philanthropist of the year” by The Hollywood Reporter, gave an interview to THR. He talks about The just keep livin Foundantion, gratitude, and the upcoming Texas gubernatorial elections.

McConaughey, who lives in Austin, has been intriguing the public about his participation in the race since March 2021.

In the interview with THR, he stated that being a governor was not what he’s been thinking for 20 years and he needs time for preparation: “It’s a whole new thing. I prepare for everything. I’m a big preparer. I am not until I am — OK?”. He continues, “It’s a new embassy of leadership that I have really been doing my diligence to study, to look into, to question what it is, what would it be for me.”. However, the Oscar winner assures that the announcement will be soon.

McConaughey also did not know that Beto O’Rourke entered the race, he says “ I missed the news. I figured he would.”
