In effect of hot temperatures we’ve been facing this summer, many were found dead. Due to homes not having any form of AC, there were elderly people as old as 97 who died. For that day alone, Oregon dead toll had risen to 79.

According to a local news source, there were hundreds of people who died from Friday to Tuesday. Residents of western Canada and Pacific Northwest was earlier warned by forecasters there would be a heat wave strike in the area. They were provided with cooling centers, assisted the homeless and more.

The heat strike continued until later that Thursday.

Many had died between that time of the heat strike but was too soon to say how many were from heat, but most likely.
