Our Graduate Glad

Rhiannon Brast

With Covid being so prevalent we want to honor the graduates here at HCC who have put in so much hard work and dedication to get to their degree!

I am getting my certificate in vocational nursing. The main obstacle I faced as a student is combining working full time and being a full-time student. Both required full commitment in terms of time and other resources. I am blessed to have a very supportive family who made sacrifices so that I could give all that was required into the program and my job.  I also had the added challenge of my studies being interrupted by the pandemic. It was very discouraging at times but with prayers, God’s help, and the support of those around me, I was able to pull through. I am excited to finish even amid the pandemic. I hope that the skills I have acquired will enable me to make positive contributions to the lives of those affected by it (the pandemic). My plan for now is to get a job with my certificate. I encourage those still in school not to give up but to keep putting in their best.

We are so proud of her hard work and overcoming obstacles to get closer to achieving her dream! Congratulations Glad on finishing off strong! Good luck and God bless!
