With evidence of community spread in the Houston area, some events won’t be going on as planned.

List: Events canceled or postponed across the Houston area because of coronavirus
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo canceled
What may be the biggest event every year in Houston won’t continue this year. On Wednesday, March 11, city and county officials announced that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will not continue this year.
Tour de Houston canceled
The Tour de Houston, which was supposed to take place Sunday, March 15, is postponed until further notice. You can keep tabs on this event here.
Houston’s Children’s Festival
The Children’s Festival, which was scheduled for April 4 and 5, Latest details here.
Texas Children’s Hospital fun runs canceled
Texas Children’s Hospital announced online that their fun runs Saturday, April 4 at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus and Saturday, May 2 at Texas Children’s Hospital in The Woodlands are all canceled. Get the latest on that cancellation here.
Run for the Rose
The Run for the Rose, which was scheduled for March 29 at the University of Houston, has been postponed. Event organizers are trying to reschedule it for April. Watch for updates on the official website.
Journey of Hope 40th Anniversary celebration
The Fort Bend Women’s Center Journey of Hope 40th celebration has been postponed to November 14 Updates will be posted here.
Japan Festival
Japan-America Society of Houston’s Japan Festival, which was set for May 2 to May 3 in Hermann Park has been postponed. Click here for updates.
Levy Park’s March events
Levy Park and the Levy Park Conservancy have canceled all events and park programming through March 31 including:
- St. Patrick’s Day Festival (March 15)
- Spring Break at Levy Park (March 16 to March 20)
- Recurring programs, including Zumba, Yoga, H.I.I.T, Body Barre, Bollywood/Bhangra Dancing Class, Family Storytime, Tai Chi, Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS), Young Audiences of Houston (YAH), Children’s Bingo, Houston Center for Photography Workshops, Public Piano Play and Goodies from the Garden
- Table Tennis, the Reading Room, Foosball, the Arts and Games Carts, Imagination Playground, and Levy Park Water Feature will be closed
