President Donald Trump spoke with Fox News recently and exclaimed, “I think it’s very hard to impeach you when they have absolutely nothing.” Although State Department officials have testified and have provided evidence in White House impeachment hearings. One can easily infer that the president is trying to dictate the narrative that is received by the public as he has notoriously done throughout his entire presidency. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds, but at the moment things aren’t looking so good for the president. What one can take away from this is how difficult it is to impeach a president who is in office, but that does not excuse him from the charges once he leaves office.
