Eli Manning began last night’s game on fire, throwing for 10 consecutive completions including a 13-yard touchdown to Odell Beckham Jr.

Then the bottom fell out of the Giants’ bucket. Manning threw three interceptions, two of which were to Nolan Carroll, who returned one for a pick-six.

“Terrible read by me; bad decision to make that throw,” Manning said, when speaking of the first interception. “I should have gone to my next guy in my progression.”

The remainder of Manning’s night continued much the same, being pressured by the Eagles’ defense who only allowed Manning and the Giants 27 total yards passing in the second half.

The Eagles’ offense was not much better than the Giants when it came to passing. Sam Bradford had three interceptions of his own, although none were turned into points by New York.

“All the credit goes to them,” Bradford said of Philadelphia’s defense. “For us to go where we want to go, I’ve got to play much better.”

The other bright side, besides the defense, for Philadelphia was DeMarco Murray, who ran for 109 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles victory over the Giants 27 – 7.

The Eagles go to Carolina to face the Panthers while the Giants host The Cowboys on next Sunday.
