As I celebrate growth, graduation, and success, I can’t help but think about the journey that brought me to this point. When I first started, I was nervous about the outcome, but I was ready for what was to come.
One of the major obstacles I had to face was taking College Algebra. There were nights when I felt defeated, wondering if I would make it through. Instead of losing hope, I pushed myself because I knew the outcome would be worthwhile. Despite a few setbacks, I remained focused and determined. All of my hard work paid off when I made the Honors List, a moment that kept me grounded when I thought back to all the moments I had late nights trying to study. My first year was the year that taught me about things deeper than just academics. I learned how to be disciplined and execute all my short-term goals if I wanted to attain my long-term goals.
Now, I am very excited that I am taking part in an internship and ready to use my knowledge in a real-world setting. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I am excited to see where it will take me!
This is Yana signing off.
