Last month, I visited an art museum called The Menil Collection.
Honestly, it was my first time visiting an art museum and I can say wholeheartedly; that it was a good experience I was amazed by some of the works that were exhibited there and they range from many forms of art such as traditional painting, pottery, sculptures, historical relics, etc. As I viewed each artwork it was clear that the museum’s main objective was to foster each visitor and enlighten their artistic mind through various works. It was stated that the main building of the Menil collection had been open to the public since 1987 and it’s unique in a way as it’s not just one building rather it is a group of art buildings and green open spaces connected making a sort of nest that is located in Downtown Central Houston.

Chryssa & New York is co-organized by the Menil Collection, Houston, and Dia Art Foundation. The exhibition is co-curated by Michelle White, Senior Curator, of the Menil Collection, and Megan Holly Witko, External Curator, Dia Art Foundation.
This is an example of one of the types that piqued my interest as it showed a sense of variety with the different textures and the mediums used to express the design. In summary, it’s a definite recommendation for any art lover as it has exhibitions that could satisfy any artistic interest and would definitely visit again.
