
Jan 31 2025- Social media, mainly apps like TikTok has a major effect on the way young people learn. It alters the development of young people and how they interact with others. We live in an era where technology is everywhere and Tiktok is one of the major platforms that spreads information quickly. With that being said many people of different age groups have access to this platform to which they learn a lot of brain altering information. This allows space for them to use creativity, learning , and collaboration.
For many years there was always different interpretations of social media in regards to connecting people and gaining information. This platform always for people to be creative and also innovative. This helps young people learn easier by watching different videos on topics they are most interested in. While the app is only seen for dancing and challenges. It can also be used to build careers and educate those who need help.
Recently, there was a major discussion about the banning of TikTok. On January 18th at about 8pm the app was temporarily banned for a few hours.This caused a major spike in other media platforms to talk about how everybody was freaking out and trying to find solutions to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. This action also affected millions of content creators who seek out specific audiences on TikTok. According to Trump there will be a 75 day period for Tiktok to not be banned unless a company buys the app.
These questions remain:what will happen if the app is not bought in a timely fashion?Will TikTok continue to be a positive influence on younger generations?
