The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for portions of Houston areas on Monday morning. Grab your winter clothes and stay informed to your local news for updates on this upcoming freeze.
Be Prepared:
Take precautions to protect plants, pets, and exposed to plumbing from any frost that develops from freezing conditions.
Ensure outdoor animals have adequate shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Portable heaters should be used properly. AVOID by all means using grills or generators indoors as they can release carbon monoxide poisoning. Ensure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functional.
Monitor older family members, friends, and neighbors during the advisory period.
Bundle up in layers, wear insulated clothing, and wear gloves, scarves and hats to protect your extremities when venturing outdoors.
